I just ask me what happended to all the gear you guys used for that movie, there where lots of 1/6 scale gems among them, like the Dragon M16A1 rifles, the helmets with NAM cover and so on that you cant get anymore these days, at least not easily.

We shot most of the movie from 2003-2006 (it took 3 years to do all the sound and editing), so the DML Nam stuff wasn't quite so hard to get back then (but yeah- good luck finding it now!). I still have some of the best pieces for my own personal collection (which I think about trimming down every so often, but I still hold out hope that one day we might shoot something and need it again). A lot of the lesser stuff (21st Century, etc), was destroyed in the shooting process or eBayed. As it turns out, we broke even or made a profit on almost everything we sold (expecially vehicles)- made me wish I'd bought some of the things I passed up (like the 21st Century Stuart tank I wanted for the WWII flashback).

Oddly enough, I'm auctioning off some of the WWI SIdeshow stuff we used in the prequel right now. The auction ends tomorrow: [link]

Just b/c he's in the stateside stuff. A lot of the marine characters are missing too, since they're groundpounders. I actually had ideas for other posters incorporating all those guys, but after all the work I put into this poster, I decided one was enough. ;)

This poster is magnificent and beyond words to describe. I like all the comedic aspects about it! Also, your movie on youtube is very well done and has amazing cinematography. It's even more impressive because it's stop-motion with top-heavy GI Joe action figures. Incredible work!

At first I didn't notice that the guy on the right was being grabbed, and I was like "Pff, that's such an unnatural pose." XD

Hours?! I think I spent a dang MONTH on this one! :D Not around the clock, mind you- but it was damned time consuming. And thanks for the kind words about the movie. :)

Hehe, soory. But that movie is killer, Cornell Max Kharnage is so stupid, but I guess he's what gives the show its comic relief. Very well done with the stop-motion photography, and good storyline.

Thanks! I originally colored this to produce as a print, so I used a very limited color palette- I think that restraint helped a lot in keeping all this nuttiness "cohesive". :)

Thanks! I totally would've put F-105s in, but there weren't any featured prominently in the movie. I wish I coulda put a B-52 in too- they were such a big part of the air war.

Yeah, the hand was the lynchpin of making this work in my head. I like that you can interpret it either as the animstor's hand and a postmedern joke or the hand of God/fate dropping Holmes into the shitstorm of 'Nam.

This is the most awesome art piece I've ever seen about Nam! I love the Vietcongs in there, lol and the guy biting the horses leg. XD It's a great touch, I'm loving the satirical feel to it and the whole aerial battle! It's such a busy picture I can't even say what's my favorite about it!

Holy moley, 8 years! (I remember when you first posted King Cong), well worth the work in my opinion, it was the funniest thing I've ever watched and I'm officially a fan of your work. XD Best part was the angry Laotian during Holmes' communist speech; officially the best Nam movie ever made!
