Verve n' the girls by KKADUKEN by PaulHanley Verve n' the girls by KKADUKEN by PaulHanley
I'm stuck waiting around on a monster download for work tonight, so I killed some time coloring this. It's a rather kickass sketch I commissioned from the talented Tony Vargas :iconkkaduken: a while back:

Not bad for $25, eh?

These of course are 3/5 of the cast of my very irregular webcomic "Superstoked"- depicting the non-adventures of a gang of bored L.A. teens who decide to forge their own Supervillain Society. Check it out here [link] Maybe one of these days I'll actually get time to crank some new pages out...

Glad to see and hear that 'Superstocked' is not dead but just resting.
Really enjoyed the first few pages and I'll keep checking back for more :D

Yeah- it's just fallen behind a lot of other stuff, sadly. It doesn't bring in the hits (and money for original art) that the Doctor Who pics generate, plus I have another "higher ranking" creator-owned book I'm developing too. I'm going to get it finished one day though- I have the whole story written (it shakes out to about 48 comic pages), and the next 6 pages are sitting in the office drawer in various states of development. It may take a while, but is coming along... :)

I have actually been thinking about doing an art print based on the characters- something more detailed than my usual style- to sell as an art print and double as a cover for the first issue when I publish this. I should get around to that sooner than later, actually...

Your Doctor Who work is amazing, your recent Cyberman piece being one of my favorites(and dont get me started on your wonderful 11 and Brig at the pub short story) and I understand that other things would have to inevitabley take priority.

I get edgy when I only hear/see part of a story. it's like having half a chocolate bar, you really want the rest of it.

Yeah- I totally here ya. It doesn't help that it dropped off right in the middle of a scene. The frustrating thing is it's just about five pages away from the point where the plot really kicks into high gear (the "First Act Turning Point" so to speak). "Sigh"...
