Description
This is a special screen print I made for "Something Spooky", a rather incredible Halloween-themed art show curated by the great Steve Niles and horror art legend (and one of my personal heroes) Bernie Wrightson. www.guzugallery.com/content/be… The talent lined up for this show is ri-goddamn-diculous: Wrightson; Ben Templesmith; Adam Hughes; Phil Noto; Dan Brereton; Joe Jusko... I'm seriously flattered to have gotten the invite to share wall space with these folks.
This isn't so much a tribute to every zombie movie ever made as much as MOST of the ones I like (plus TV and even some other mediums). I ran out of room in the end. It runs the gamut from old-school Hollywood stuff to Hammer Films, George Romero, 70s Italian Horror, right up to stuff as recent as ZOMBIELAND. I'd point out what everything is, but I find it's more fun to let people guess. My buddy Brandon managed to I.D. maybe the single most obscure one (6th from the left, back row), so I'm curious to see who else can spot what.
Huge thanks to my bud Tim Doyle of Nakatomi Inc www.nakatomiinc.com/home/ for doing the actual print- it turned out better than I could've hoped.
