More of my CHAMPION! Magazine work- a SIN CITY style confrontation between drug lords Marlo Stanfield and Slim Charles.

The whole idea of this article was that a WIRE comic would be an idea that was equal parts awesome and incredibly, horribly wrongheaded, b/c you REALLY don't need to continue that story past where it ended. A confrontation like this would've been totally plausible, but also laughably redundant- and hopefully fans of the show who saw this read it that way.

The way The Wire ended was the wright time to end it, it could have easily dragged on for too long. But I was kind of disappointed that Marlo didn't get his come upins in the last season, but thats just me.

I think the writing was on the wall in that last scene- hell fuck it up for himself, in time. He'll never get out of the game, and sooner or later he'll pick a fight with someone worse than him (just like happened to Avon). But I liked that they left that sense of unfairness. It felt true. And at least we got that one glorious moment where Slim capped Cheese.

Yeh i agree it better to have it as real life, to show that bad people do get away with it, but after Bodie got shoot i just wanting Marlo to die badly or at least getting taken down a peg. But Cheese getting shot point blank was a consolation lol.

I felt sorry for the kids from season 4. Everyone's life apart from Namond just goes down hill. Dukie gets on smack and Randy is going into a world of violence. Michael does become the new Omar, but he is on 90210 now lol cue the Price is Right losing horn
