Superstoked page 13 by PaulHanley Superstoked page 13 by PaulHanley
Presenting my semi-regular webcomic... SUPERSTOKED! I recommend using "full view" mode.

Yeah, another one of those meatgrinder "moving the story along" pages. I swear some great jokes are just around the corner. Can ya tell this wasn't written as a webcomic originally? :B

This series is easily the most personal and beloved thing I've ever uploaded to DA, so if you dig it, please comment, fave it, feature it, spread the word, etc. Thanks. :)

Superstoked is 2011, Paul Hanley. And that's a bona-fide registered copyright, folks. Just sayin'.

I have 5 more pages of this sitting half-finished in a drawer in my office. I've been so busy with other work lately it's hard to find time. Sad, b/c I never have more fun drawing than when I'm working on this. Glad you're digging it though. :)

Good too see another update, I don't mind these "moving the story along" pages because they are well done. :D But I have to say that I really can't to see what you have planned.

Thanks! Hopefully my workload'll let up a little bit soon and I can crank some more pages out. :)

Yay! Been in bed for the last few days recovering from a surgery. Really glad I came back online today, two whole new pages. Can't wait to see where this is all going ^_^

Cool! Glad you're still diggin' it. I've had to slow the schedule way down b/c of some actual paying work, but it's still definitely moving forward. :)

Look forward to seeing the rest. Paid work should always come first ;)

The girl's face looks more real than the guy's very cool :)

Yeah, I think I tend to draw Rachel's face a little too realistically- probably b/c she's a very vivid character in my head and the nuance just kinda works its way into the art. I've kinda let it slide though, as it sorta amuses me to have a relatively realistic main character surrounded by cartoonier supporting characters like David and Goth Gyrl. There's something appealingly Roger Rabbit-ish about it. :D

And thanks for the faves, Alex- I'm very grateful for the "regulars" who are sticking with it. I just wish I had a more dynamic pair of pages to come back with. But I promise some great stuff is coming up very soon. :)

You're welcome :D  I'm loving the style of this comic so far
It's okay; Comics can me difficult to maintain at an even level... hell I don't even draw comics but I know even when I'm writing you get up to parts that just seem to drag along... but it usually is worth it afterwards.

Totally. :) Normally, it wouldn't be an issue, as Superstoked was originally written as a 48-page one-shot comic. These would be the pages ya blow by on the way to "the good stuff". But once ya adapt it to a page-a-week (well, I try anyway) webcomic... ya run into problems w/ pacing and keeping the audience involved w/ each installment. Still, I'm hoping the art and general style (which I humbly suggest is better than your average DA webcomic) is enough to hold people in for the moment.

Pretty much everything since page 5 has been buildup for the bats*** craziness that kicks off around page 20 or so. It'll be interesting to see what kind of reactions happen when it gets there. ;p

I see :D Well it's still kept me interested so far :D so that's something.

I can't wait until this craziness, but just pace yourself and keep up with it, I'll be sure to stay tuned.
