Robbie Coltrane as The Doctor by PaulHanley Robbie Coltrane as The Doctor by PaulHanley
Here's the last of my "I'll Draw Anyone as The Doctor" commission special. This time it's a commission for :iconthedeviantmakepeace: of the great Robbie Coltrane (FROM CRACKER, HARRY POTTER, and yes... NUNS ON THE RUN). And this one's a twofer (well, not technically, since it cost twice as much) that features the legendary Terence Stamp as The Master (which would be amazing, to put it mildly).

The Doctor's costume is kind of a mix of McGann's costume and Colin Baker's "blue coat" look, with maybe just a dash of Tennant-ish color schemes (I'm thinking of the variation of the blue suit with the purple shirt). The brief called for keeping Stamp in a Delgado-esque Nehru jacket, though I did add the trench coat for one.

I can't help but wonder if the Coltrane Doctor's temperment would be closer to Zukovsky or Hagrid...either way, he's a rather interesting choice for an alternate Doctor, and if he'd been cast, with the right scripts the series could've gone in plenty of directions.

As for Terrence Stamp as the Master....YES.  If the Master comes back in the series proper, THE BBC NEEDS TO CAST TERRENCE STAMP!  (sorry for the shouty bit, but I REALLY think he'd be brilliant as the Master)

A good choice for both the Doctor and the Master. But, I must confess, my personal pick for the Master would have to be Malcolm McDowell.

Terence Stamp would be a MIND BLOWING AMAZING Master!

Also, it would be cool to have a slightly heavyset actor play the Doctor for a change. Most of the time he's played by beanpoles.

Shame you ended, because I would have liked to see Patrick McGoohan or maybe David Niven as Doctors. And possibly maybe Peter Sellers.

Hanley, the great and powerful... have you ever considered trying your hand at some prose Doctors? Like from "Good Companions"  or even the 80s "Green Peace Doctor?"

Intimidating mofo, but doesn't look good at running down corridors.

Great work!

Just finished the second series of Cracker, and this is great. Coltrane needs the signature hair poof-padour, though.

Terrence Stamp as the Master? Why not. He looked the part in Superman II
