Last weekend he so very nearly became the latest addition to my figure collection but instead I grabbed the last Colin in the shop whilst I still had the chance to pick him up at a reasonable non-ebay price ;P

I have both. (cackles) Actually, given the money I misspent to amass my collection, I really shouldn't laugh...

You UK'ers have Pyramids of Mars Tom though- we didn't get him in the States. :shakefist:

Indeed we did *enjoys brief moment of triumph* although I just went for the regular Tom - I preferred having the optional heads.

My DW collection is pretty small (I spend most of my toy buying funds on Star Wars and TransFormers ;P) and I've really just being trying to limit it to incarnations of the Doctor himself although there's a couple of Daleks in there (the one that came with Will and my ancient talking one that was a christmas pressie back in '79 or '80) :)

Funny you should say that, Drac- I was thinking the exact same thing drawing him! The kids are John and Gillian, the Doctor's "other" grandchildren, who were his companions in the vintage TV COMIC strips in the 60s (and then never, ever heard from again in any "official" capacity). The Johnny Quest resemblance is even more striking in color. Even weirder... John and johnny Quest were both created around 1964...

Waitaminnit... Johnny? John??? Oh my god- THE DOCTOR IS JOHNNY QUEST'S GRANDFATHER!!! :D Does this mean we can have a Doctor Who/ Venture Brothers crossover??? ;)
