The First Doctor and some (but not all!) of his many companions and friends from his adventures in TV, audio, comics and prose.
To answer questions in advance- the lesser-known ones (moving roughly left to right) are: John and Gillian (numerous TV Comic strips); the Mortimer Family (from the illustrated book "Doctor Who and the Invasion from Space"); Gordon Hamilton (from the story "The Lair of Zarbi Supremo" in the very first Dr. Who Annual); Iris Wildthyme (her "Edith Sitwell" incarnation); Bret Vyon from "The Daleks' Master Plan"; Irving Braxiatel (circa the novel "The Empire of Glass"); and Oliver Harper (from Big Finish's excellent Companion Chronicles audio series).
And credit where it's due- that intricate clock was made possible by some beautiful templates a user named "rassilonsrod" (no, really!) posted on thetardisbuilders.com forum. I never would've attempted making it for the pic if I hadn't had those to start with!
